Beacon Space develops tugboat spacecraft that can rendezvous with defunct satellites and execute controlled deorbit manoeuvres or orbit raising. The Sydney startup spun from work at UTS's Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research and works closely with Australian Space Agency. Their first commercial mission is scheduled for 2026, with three government contracts already signed.
