Tessera Materials manufactures advanced polymer composites that reduce weight in aircraft and defence platforms while improving thermal tolerance. Spun out from RMIT's composites lab, the startup has secured supply contracts with a Tier 1 aerospace supplier and completed initial qualification testing for two defence programs. Manufacturing is based in Coburg with material development labs in Melbourne's emerging manufacturing precinct.
