Completed her PhD in synthetic biology at UNSW, researching cellular reprogramming techniques for regenerative medicine. She worked briefly at Garvan Institute before founding her biotech venture with support from the university's commercialisation arm. Her research focuses on engineering tissues for organ transplant alternatives.
